Wander detection without stigma

Invisible protection for nursing home clients. No tags, full freedom within the ward.

The problem

Wander risk in nursing homes. Clients with dementia may leave the ward unnoticed, while traditional measures such as locked doors, tags and wristbands are stigmatizing, transferable or simply removed.

Our solution

Wander detection using privacy proof facial recognition, within the framework of the Care and Coercion Act. Clients are registered via a photo, a unique facial vector is calculated and the original photo is deleted. Permission can be toggled on or off at any time. Clients are automatically recognized when they try to leave the ward, while staff and visitors keep easy access.

Benefits

  • Complete freedom for the client within the ward
  • Not visible, so not stigmatizing
  • No removable tags needed
  • Unique for each client and not transferable like codes

How it works

  1. A client is registered by taking one photo.
  2. The software calculates a unique facial vector. The photo is deleted.
  3. Permission for recognition can be switched on or off at any moment.
  4. The client is automatically recognized when trying to leave the ward.
  5. Staff and visitors keep quick and easy access.
The user always keeps the power over their own data.CEO, 20face
